Ochsner Ironman 70.3 New Orleans is proud to have partnered up with A Shared Initiative, Inc this past week. We are pleased to announce that $5 of every entry fee will go towards A Shared Initiative, Inc, which is helping provide affordable homeownership in the Greater New Orleans area. Ochsner Ironman 70.3 New Orleans is committed to the recovery efforts in New Orleans and is very excited to be working with A Shared Initiative, Inc in this process.

Who is A Shared Initiative?

A Shared Initiative, Inc. (ASII) is a 501(c )(3) nonprofit corporation formed in early 2005 to expand anti-poverty programs initially designed by ASI Federal Credit Union, a community development financial institution serving predominately low-income individuals and families in the Greater New Orleans area. ASII's mission is to assist the rebuilding efforts of families and communities by providing affordable homeownership opportunities and expanding access to vital community services. ASII's current projects include the development of affordable housing in the St. Claude neighborhood and the construction of the Clifford N. Rosenthal Community Center, all located in the Upper Ninth Ward of New Orleans, one of the most devastated areas of the city. ASII is invested in rebuilding New Orleans communities, one neighborhood at a time.
